Opès is a natural range of Face, Bath and Body Care products, formulated only with the highest quality natural and organic, ingredients from renewable, sustainable and equitable sources here in Canada and around the world blending the latest technologies with ancient therapies. The aim of this line is to leave a very small imprint on the planet ecosystem but have a huge impact on the physical and emotional well-being of its users.
The Opès story begins with Charline Chouinard, a financial advisor cum turn-over specialist who stumbled across the powerful and beneficial elements contained within Dead Sea minerals. Her extensive research on these minerals eventually lead her to the doorstep of some of the biggest players in the Bath and Body world, producers of bath salts and mineral body product creators. She was surprised to discover that the quality and purity of the minerals she was offering far exceeded those currently being used in the industry and that most product manufacturers were not inclined to invest as much for such potent compounds.
Born the youngest of 16 children, Charline learned how to fight for what she believes in. She believes in providing people with the best possible products for the best possible price but also creating GIVE BACK programs to supply free or heavily discounted prices for people in need. With this intention in mind, she created Opès, a name that embodies riches, opulence and wellbeing.
Working closely with a research and formulating team from a Montreal area lab known for their ecological practices, she sets the following goals for all of Opès products.

Opès’ STAR INGREDIENTS
Dead Sea Minerals
This core ingredient is where it all began. Virtually salt free (containing only 5.5% sodium), these minerals are vital to our health and are easily absorbed by the skin. The combination of 26 very sought after minerals such as Magnesium, Potassium, Calcium, Bromide, Sodium, Zinc and Selenium, renders all Opès products relaxing, nourishing and detoxifying to the skin. They are also known to activate the circulatory system and help control certain skin conditions.
Wild Canadian Seaweeds
Grown in the pristine waters off the wild Canadian Atlantic’s East coast, these unique seaweeds are found in many of our bath and body products. Used for centuries by the Canadian native community, the high concentration of proteins, minerals and calcium contained within provide unparalleled toning, slimming, anti-aging and anti-cellulite properties.
Manicouagan (Quebec) Marine Clay “the intelligent clay”
This extremely fine clay originates from a 214 million year old meteorite found on the Northern bank of the Saint-Lawrence River. Its unique composition of marine and vegetal minerals delivers an abundance of healing and regenerating benefits to the skin. This intelligent anti-bacterial, purifying clay regenerates cellular activity and moisturizes while automatically detecting the user’s skin type. This remarkable anti-oxidant has no parallel by its size of particles and iodine free composition.
Argan Oil “Liquid Gold”
Obtained from the Argan tree in Morocco, this oil is harvested and pressed by women in a sustainable practice cooperative. Used as a natural, organic remedy for centuries, Argan oil has almost twice as much vitamin E as olive oil, is rich in anti-oxidants with powerful anti-aging effect and has a natural UVA compound. Argan oil stimulates cellular oxygenation, prevents wrinkles, attenuates skin blemishes and restores the hydrophilic layer of the skin. The moisturized, revitalized and nourished skin becomes more elastic, smooth, and shiny. It is also an excellent moisturizing treatment for hair and nails. With less than 1 % of saturated fat it is non greasy.
Essential Oils
Opès sources only the purest essential oils available and uses them in our body products to enhance the
benefits it provides for the skin and spirit. They are also used to create a very subtle fragrance in selected products.
Egyptian Loofah
100% natural, recyclable and biodegradable, the vegetal Loofah fibres provide deep cleansing and create an invigorating effect on the skin. Imported from Egypt (using fair trade practices) they are a key ingredient in many Opès’ products as well as being sold separately as a full range of bath accessories.
